SNAKES

This collection was inspired by my collaboration mug with artist Puka.tutis.pottery. She created a beautifully sculpted snake handle mug, sent me the bisqueware, and I finished it with a snake painting and glaze. This collaboration was received by my social media audience very well, so I thought I should continue creating snake mugs. Snakes are something I have never painted before. Every time I paint something new, it sparks my creativity. For the first time I created goblets as well! Which I absolutely love the final product. So much so that I obviously need to make more for my next collection!
While glazing these pieces I kept the colors of the snake paintings in mind. I wanted the colors within the paintings to be pulled out more by comparing them to the glazes. For example, in the double headed python goblet- the colorful patterns on the snake are mimicked with the pink base glaze.
