About the mug -

One-of-a-kind wheel thrown ceramic mug. This mug is adorned with sculpted and carved foxglove flowers around and on the surface of the handle. The flowers were thoughtfully placed and glazed. The base glaze of the mug is a creamy yellow with pink under tones. In certain lighting the glaze shimmers like glitter! The top rim dark blue drips cascade down the surface flowing over the interior and exterior. The interior glaze is a bright lush pink which compliments the bright vibrant pink flowers. The 3D flower appliques add a whimsical and textural design aspect. The star of the mug is a hand painted tufted coquette hummingbird. The bird has been created with meticulous detail. Each feather and vibrant color have been carefully placed to perfection. The painting has been coated with liquid quartz, which protects from UV light, stains, and liquid absorption.
