Waxy Monkey Tree frog

This handmade wheel thrown mug is adorned with colorful glazes and whimsical imagery. The interior glaze is a gloss turquoise with dark blue drips flowing from the rim. The handle is also the same glaze. The front of the mug has a hand painted tree frog. Rendered in meticulous detail, this frog is realistically painted with a touch of whimsy illustration. By glazing the handle and interior in hues that echo the palette of the painted frog, the mug feels visually unified and intentionally cohesive. The frog is only clear glazed in detailed spots, giving it a textured water droplet effect. The exterior glaze is a light flowing blue which complements the orange colors of the frog.
