One-of-a-kind handmade ceramic teapot. Inspired by the largest sea turtle of the world! The leatherback sea turtle is an amazing creature who deserves more love!

This teapot features a nesting leatherback turtle applique at the top of the handle. The small dug out nest has small eggs within. This turtle applique also acts as the thumb rest. The teapot is coated in a beautiful blue flowing gloss glaze that has bursts of dark blue crystals that flow down the surface creating movement. The one side of the teapot has an adult leatherback sea turtle painting. Created with meticulous details this painting stands out against the light blue background. Around the turtle are brown fish-like shapes that seem to be swimming beneath the blue gloss glaze, creating an atmospheric perspective. The opposite side of the teapot are two painted baby leatherback sea turtles swimming through seaweed. All turtle paintings are not glazed leaving them with the raw clay texture. This choice to not clear glaze the paintings make them stand out against the gloss glazes. The paintings are coated in liquid quartz sealer protecting them from UV light and potential stains. The lid of the teapot is adorned with seaweed topper.
