8. Autumn Leaf Bug mug
Handmade wheel thrown one-of-a-kind ceramic mug. Inspired by the colors of Autumn with a touch of spooky. The mug itself is a white base with orange and black clay marble. Clear glazed surface makes these colors pop beneath the colored glazes of the carved gothic window arches on both sides. The windows contrast dark colors of brown and black. Surrounding the windows, as if they are growing up around the windows are carved vines that were inlayed with orange glaze. The handle is adorned with filagree appliques with an orange poppy thumb rest. The front focal point of the mug is a painted orange leaf bug, rendered in meticulous details. The interior is glazed with a dark brown that drips down the exterior rim echoing the colors within the leaf bug.
