This handmade one-of-a-kind ceramic mug evokes the regal and whimsy of an owl. The mug is adorned with strawberries, flowers, and leaves, surrounded by colorful flowing glazes. These appliques add textures and movement, creating an environmental perspective. The main focus of the mug is a painted owl. The bird was created with meticulous details. The smallest of feathers and colors are depicted with care. The owl is not clear glazed leaving it matte raw clay contrasted against the glossy glazes.
