This handmade one-of-a-kind ceramic mug evokes the plentiful life of a hummingbird’s wild world. The mug is adorned with foxglove flowers and surrounded by colorful flowing glazes. The foxglove applique follows the handle from base to top. These design aspects add textures and movement, creating an environmental perspective. The main focus of the mug is a painted hummingbird. The bird was created with meticulous details. The smallest of feathers and the brightest of colors are depicted with care. The hummingbird is not clear glazed leaving it matte raw clay contrasted against the glossy glazes.
