One-of-a-kind handmade ceramic mug inspired by the colorful life of the ocean. Deep blue surface glazes, coral, and fish appliques, with textured handles.
This mug is adorned with a sea turtle applique at the top of the handle. The handle itself is a deeply carved surface to mimic the textures of coral. These designs are surrounded by a lush ocean blue gloss glaze. The focal point of the mug is a jellyfish painting rendered in meticulous details. The jellyfish is not clear glazed giving it a raw clay texture. This choice of not clear glazing the painting makes it contrasted against the surrounding gloss glaze. The painting is coated in liquid quartz sealer protecting it from UV light and potential stain. Around the main jellyfish are multiple carved jellyfish. The dark blue glaze pools around the jellyfish creating small iridescent crystals that shimmer rainbows in the light.
