One-of-a-kind handmade ceramic mug inspired by the colorful life of the ocean. Deep blue surface glazes, coral, and fish appliques, with textured handles.

This mug is adorned with ocean themed appliques around the handle. The handle itself is a deeply carved surface to mimic the textures of coral. There is a small sea turtle applique as a thumb rest at the top of the handle. These designs are surrounded by a lush ocean blue gloss glaze. The focal point of the mug is a green sea turtle painting rendered in meticulous details. The turtle is not clear glazed giving it a raw clay texture. This choice of not clear glazing the painting makes it contrasted against the surrounding gloss glaze. The painting is coated in liquid quartz sealer protecting it from UV light and potential stains. Swimming around the turtle, beneath the gloss glaze are brown carved fish-like shapes. These fish create atmospheric perspective of the deep ocean.
