One-of-a-kind handmade ceramic mug inspired by the colorful life of the ocean. Deep blue surface glazes, coral, and fish appliques, with textured handles.
This mug is adorned with ocean themed appliques around the handle. Two dolphin appliques dance around the top of the handle. The handle is textured fish scales with a sand dollar as a thumb rest. The base of the mug is decorated in pink scallop shell carvings. These designs are surrounded by a lush ocean blue gloss glaze. The focal point of the mug is a spotted dolphin painting rendered in meticulous details. The dolphin is not clear glazed giving it a raw clay texture. This choice of not clear glazing the painting makes it contrasted against the surrounding gloss glaze. The painting is coated in liquid quartz sealer protecting it from UV light and potential stains. Swimming around the dolphin, beneath the gloss glaze are brown carved fish-like shapes. These fish create atmospheric perspective of the deep ocean.
